Exploratory essay reflection

This essay was much harder than the first essay because for the first one you did not need to find evidence and then must cite them and put them into your own word. As the first essay you just needed yourself and the experiences and knowledge you built up to write a story about yourself. However, for the exploratory essay you must stay completely unbiased which was very difficult for me because I like to put in my opinion and thoughts when I am making my claims. As for this essay to back up my claims, I needed evidence from the databases. Also, my topic was how does coffee affect out students, but this topic had much less information than I thought it would. Also, the information was sometimes controversial while I was reading them one article would advocate one point and the other would advocate the complete opposite.
This essay was very difficult and the topic I feel as if I choose a topic that was not well-fitted for me. But, I realized this mistake when I was already halfway into the essay and I did not want to research all over again with a whole new idea. I felt this topic was not suited for me because I do not drink a lot of coffee about once a month or so. Also, I felt some of my pints were sometimes repetitive and I feel like I could put a bit more different information or explain it in a way differently. Therefore, I feel like my draft would have a lot of flaws and needs a lot more improvement.

The Unwinnable War Abstract My topic is the “war on drugs” and I wish to inform my audience to the pros and cons to this situation. My motives for researching this topic was mostly because I had some background knowledge of this topic and wished to share my knowledge of it. Reflection 10

In the passage” From Prison to Ph.D.: The Redemption and Rejection of Michelle Jones” is about a woman who may be redeeming for her mistakes. This article is about a woman named Michelle Jones who killed her son “accidentally” and was sent to prison. She spent two decades in prison, but sought to educate herself. In the harshest environments she was able to educate herself and eventually made a research paper. Currently, she was able to get out of jail and is now in NYU who is working to get her PHD. Also, she is willing to help people by teaching in NYU’s prison education program.             This article goes to show that anyone could be at the lowest point, but they all can redeem themselves and help society.
