Reflection for Research proposal

            For my research proposal I choose the topic “War on drugs”. I choose this topic for many reason one being I have a lot of knowledge concerning this topic. Also, I thought this topic would have a lot of information on it for me to use. As it is still a very concerning and controversial issue that is still debated quite frequently today. Therefore, since there are many viewpoints and information on the topic I choose this topic. As I started my essay I had trouble what I should start with because there was so much information. Also. I didn’t have much trouble with citations because the citations are usually there with the source for the database I used.
            To continue, some things I felt I could’ve worked on my research proposal was by having more concentrated body paragraphs because they were all packed with a variety of information. Also. my grammar may need to be checked again because I always have problems with it. One thing my research essay would lack is importance because I don’t feel like the war on drugs do not have a big connection to most of the public. Also, I feel that I should add more viewpoints and evidence to solidify my essay and prove the importance of war on drugs and how we should approach it. In all, my research proposal needs a lot more information and revising.

            The annotated bibliography for my topic “War on Drugs” was a very interesting and expansive topic that can connect to many things. When looking for information I was aware of some of the controversial things and the general idea of the war on drugs. The Unwinnable War Abstract My topic is the “war on drugs” and I wish to inform my audience to the pros and cons to this situation. My motives for researching this topic was mostly because I had some background knowledge of this topic and wished to share my knowledge of it. Also, some of my closest friends are addicted to drugs and I want to learn how we are handling drugs. Reflection 10

In the passage” From Prison to Ph.D.: The Redemption and Rejection of Michelle Jones” is about a woman who may be redeeming for her mistakes. This article is about a woman named Michelle Jones who killed her son “accidentally” and was sent to prison. She spent two decades in prison, but sought to educate herself. In the harshest environments she was able to educate herself and eventually made a research paper. Currently, she was able to get out of jail and is now in NYU who is working to get her PHD. Also, she is willing to help people by teaching in NYU’s prison education program.             This article goes to show that anyone could be at the lowest point, but they all can redeem themselves and help society.
